Let Typhaine Marc’s sensitivity guide you as you explore the mysterious paths of memory through writing, between recollections, forgetfulness and reminiscence.
TYPHAINE MARC, a bookseller specializing in literature for nearly fifteen years, has spent the last few years training to lead writing and bibliocreativity workshops alongside Régine Detambel (Lire pour relier, Actes Sud, 2023). She also organizes literary gatherings and walking tours.
Whether vivid or historical, semantic or episodic—whether deliberate when driven by duty or involuntary, as in Proust’s work—memory remains that supreme expression of identity that both literature and neuroscience have yet to fully explore. “Memory is a fiction. It is like a mosaic, made of shards.” ” Echoing this quote from the Spanish writer and poet José Carlos Llop, this series invites you to unravel the thread of a fictional narrative to be crafted through various writing prompts designed to explore the memory—or memories—at work behind our reminiscences, our recollections, and our forgetfulness.
