Join our special NextGen event in the courtyard of the Société de Lecture with a brunch and storytelling event for children. Paul Gasnier will discuss La collision, a moving account and investigation into a fractured society.
In La collision (Gallimard), winner of the 2025 Prix Goncourt des détenus, Paul Gasnier recounts the investigation he undertook ten years after the tragic accident in which his mother was killed by a young man performing a stunt on a motorcycle. Attempting to understand the circumstances surrounding her death, he explores questions of individual and collective responsibility, as well as the complexity of intertwined destinies in a fractured society.
During the event, children aged five and over will have the opportunity to attend a performance of Caroline Langendorf's Tale for Nicely Behaved Rascals and Mischievous Little Ones.
This will be followed by a brunch in the courtyard of the Société de Lecture.
