A monthly gathering for readers who enjoy discovering, discussing and sharing novels shaping the literary season. Pascale Frey, explores new voices, major releases and books standing out from the contemporary literary scene.
PASCALE FREY is a literary journalist. She’s been reading ever since she learned to read! She began her career at the Tribune de Genève, where she was in charge of the book section. For many years, she contributed to Lire magazine and later to ELLE. It was while selecting books for ELLE magazine’s Readers’ Choice Award (novels, nonfiction, and mysteries) that she read a large portion of the literary output of recent years. Today, she continues to share her many favorite picks on Instagram (@pascale_frey).
This book club is exclusively dedicated to current fiction. The latest releases, authors worth discovering, whether French or foreign novels in the running for literary awards, and significant re-publications are the sources discussed over the year. The workshop aims to be a friendly gathering, and each participant is invited to share their thoughts on the selected book, which must be read before meeting. With ten annual meetings nothing will be left out on the latest in literature. The book chosen for the September session is Ghost Stories by Siri Hustvedt (Gallimard, 2026), with Everything I Loved (Babel, 2013) by the same author as an optional read.
