Aurélia ThierréeThe Glass Menagerie

Moderated by Patrick Ferla

In collaboration with the Theatre of Carouge

From circus to theatre, Aurélia Thierrée has created a unique world shaped by poetry, illusion and transformation.

As a child, AURÉLIA THIERRÉE was immersed in the artistic circus of her parents, Jean-Baptiste Thierrée and Victoria Thierrée Chaplin, founders of the Cirque imaginaire and the Cirque invisible. She went on tour with the London-based trio Tiger Lillies in their show Tiger Lillies Circus. She performed in cabarets, theaters, and various productions from Berlin to New York, collaborating with Deborah Warner and Miloš Forman. From 2003 to 2011, the show L’Oratorio d’Aurélia went on an international tour, followed by Murmures des murs from 2011 to 2018. In 2024, the Théâtre de Carouge hosted Bells and Spells, premiered at the Spoleto Festival dei Due Mondi, in which she played a kleptomaniac drawn to enchanted objects. For his final production as artistic director of the Théâtre de Carouge, Jean Liermier invited her to play Laura Wingfield in Tennessee Williams’ The Glass Menagerie.

The Glass Menagerie runs from September 25 to October 18, 2026, at the Théâtre de Carouge. Reservations for the show: on the website theatredecarouge.ch or by phone at 022 343 43 43.
